As we approach the end of 2024, I got to thinking about the last year and what we have to look forward to in 2025.
Living in the UK as we do, the weather in early 2024 was too cold to spend much time outdoors, but we used this time to plan our naturist holidays somewhere warmer.
Our first trip was to Skinny Dippers Boutique Hotel in Mallorca in May. This was our first trip to this wonderful hotel, and sadly our last as we recently discovered that the hotel was not re-opening in 2025. We met some wonderful people here, especially Grant and Jordi, who ran the hotel and wish the two of them much success with the (smaller) Skinny Dippers Finca Apartments.
On our return from Mallorca, the weather in the UK had improved and so we were able to enjoy our garden as nature intended, dressed only in suitable footwear, gardening gloves and sunscreen. The changes we made to the garden back in 2023 have really gone well and improved the number of areas we are truly secluded from our neighbours.
In June, we travelled back to Mallorca for a holiday with our extended-family. Sadly because of the location, there were only a few opportunities to spend time in the nude, but this only re-enforced the fact that we passionately dislike wearing swimsuits.
September saw us back in Crete and a revisit to Vritomartis Naturist Resort where we were delighted to meet up with old friends, some of whom we met at the hotel last year, but also some friends from our trip to Skinny Dippers earlier in the year.
As the weather started to cool back in the UK, we were able to grab a few hours in the sunshine, but also were able to turn our thoughts to 2025 and somewhere to visit for some winter (naturist) sun.
On the recommendation of friends we met at Vritromartis, our first trip will be to Magnolias Natura in Gran Canaria and close to the Maspalomas Beach, recently voted the Best Naturist Beach in Europe, by H&E Naturist Magazine. We’ll let you know our thoughts in March, on our return.
We have also recently booked another new location in May. This time a much smaller hotel on mainland Spain, but close to the airport in Alicante. Lavinia Naturist Resort caught our attention because of the food that was on offer and the photographs of the beautiful gardens. Again, look forward to a post with our thoughts, sometime in June.
That’s all we have planned for 2025 so far, but we still need somewhere to visit in September or October to extend the summer a little. Should we revisit somewhere we know, or is there somewhere else we should visit? Let us know.
In the meantime, we were inspired by Anna Woodings of A Naturist World who has suggested a number of ways we can all celebrate naturism, every month. The first event she proposes is Naturist Information Day on January 15th. A day for sharing some information with non-naturists and perhaps making them feel more at ease with the concept of naturism. Take a look at find out some of the ideas she has for promoting naturism every month next year.
