It’s January and we live in the UK. Of course it’s cold, wet and windy. In fact, Storm Isha is currently battering the country with strong winds, causing the Met Office to issue an Amber weather warning for the whole of the UK.
Too cold to get naked? Not for us, as we have taken a week away in an old cottage which just happens to have a hot tub in the back garden. We have decided against having one at home, as we believe that the novelty of having one would soon wear off, but what a treat to have the use of one occasionally.
There’s something decadent about coming back from a long walk (in the rain), returning home, cold and wet, but being able to throw off our wet clothes and jump into the hot water, with a glass of wine. The wind was blowing, rain still coming down, but we were delightfully relaxed and warm.
It also allowed us to dream of warmer weather and our next naked holiday in Mallorca. Who knows, we may even rethink having a hot-tub at home and if you have one, we’d love to know your thoughts.
