Having decided to dip our toes into being naked in public rather than our own garden, we needed to find a location where we would not (no pun intended) stick-out and where we would be surrounded by like-minded folk.
British Naturism provided some great information regarding naturist events, clothing-optional beaches, sun-clubs and a wealth of other opportunities to meet other naturists. We also learned a great deal about the legality of being naked in public and read about some initiatives to normalise naturism.
The biggest barrier (in our minds at least) to UK naturism is the unpredictability of the British weather. We’re lucky enough to have a relatively private garden and so whenever the sun did peek out from behind the clouds we could strip off and enjoy it, but what if we planned a break and it was too cold? Is it naturism if everyone is naked under their warm clothes?
We still have a list of UK naturist events and venues that we would like to visit, and would welcome suggestions, but for our first foray into public naturism, we decided that we would prefer to head to warmer climes.
Sounds interesting to me though In UK I don’t know of any places. I would be interested to learn more about where they are in the UK.
