Fair to say I never thought I would be embarking on this holiday, let alone at the young age of fifty six! It is a week to go until we head off to Greece to a naturist hotel and whilst I really need a holiday here is also a few elements of intrepidation and intrigue!
I have always enjoyed the clothing optional world at home in the comfort of my own home and garden and find it incredibly liberating and comfortable so why not give this holiday a go and see how we get on? This is a gentle step towards the naturist life, with pool and beach at the resort clothing free but any indoor areas you are expected to be clothed. Whilst I am a little apprehensive, I very much assume everyone is in exactly the same boat and therefore, after the first five minutes by the pool, no one is going to care whatsover!
I’m no size 8 but am a comfortable size 14 and very happy in my skin (way happier than when I was a slimmer 35 year old!) so have no real worries about how that will work out.
I guess I’m hoping to meet down to earth people of all ages with a similar mindset and interesting things to talk about – how wrong can we go?!
Things to look forward to on my travels:
- Meeting some interesting people
- No need to find that elusive flattering yet comfortable bikini
- No more tan lines!
- Delicious local food – nothing to do with Naturism but I am obsessed with good food and there seem to be plenty of local options to explore, alongside the delicious hotel food
